Purpose

To promote public transportation that improves our regional quality of life, economic development, affordability, and the environment.

The Alliance for Public Transportation is:

• Representative of many sectors of the Central Texas region, including business, non-profit, government, education, and environment;
• Regionally balanced to include Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis and Williamson counties; and
• Membership forged by a commitment to a common purpose, focused on meaningful activities and outcomes.

The Alliance for Public Transportation does:

• Initiate public discussion about the role of transit and rail in communities and the region;
• Facilitate deciding priorities for transportation investments and services; and
• Assist residents, neighborhoods and communities in advocating for their preferred options.
